With this option, mobile workers will be able to use virtually any popular device on virtually any wireless network.

Dispatchers and mobile workers are able to add data about open service calls to completed call activities to each other in real-time.

Mobile workers have instant access to service history and job requirements without the need to call the office.

Management has instant knowledge of location and activities of all field resources.

The wireless interface to Service Accent allows the engineers to receive and access all service call wherever they are. Using virtually any supported mobile device, for example, a Microsoft PocketPC device or mobile browser/WAP handset), they can get their calls, update them, complete them, even create new jobs remotely.

The mobile application works off-line, without the need for wireless coverage. This allows the mobile workers to use the device without the need to log-in to a mobile browser solution. The application is actually on the device. The device knows when it is on-line wirelessly or when it should store things locally and wait for coverage. It can even transmit when it is its cradle, eliminating the need to fore wireless connectivity.

The engineer may use their wireless device (for example a Compaq iPAQ) to communicate with Service Accent. (Click Magnify to the right - just below the Compaq iPAQ devices)

All wireless data transactions are communicated across the wireless carrier network seamlessly. Back in the office, your staff receive all changes to the work order (time at call, parts used) instantly. The Service Accent Wireless Gateway retrieves the HTTP response from the server (see below for more information about the Service Accent wireless technology) and processes it. Your Service Accent Wireless Gateway then sends the appropriate HTTP response back to the server which sends a response back to the engineer's mobile device.

Of course, the engineer is unaware of any of this: to them, it is one seamless application which does not require them to play with a modem. This ensures they are in wireless coverage and connected at all times.
